There’s so much to say about Melanie... she’s simply The BEST, and our Golden learned so much from her in such a short period of time. The before and after is truly amazing. We went from having a pup that pulled relentlessly on the leash, lunged on walks & made it extremely difficult/stressful for us to have any company come in the front door without him jumping all over them, to having an extremely well behaved pup with all the proper tools to establish a stress free environment inside and out. 

Before our training, we were pretty much forced to run with our pup, as an actual “walk” seemed impossible. After our training with Melanie, we now walk our pup with no problems at all! She recommended a lot of different, and creative training tactics for us and they all worked wonders. Our Golden now uses a gentle leader and we no longer have to worry about him pulling our shoulders out of their sockets! The commands we now use on walks definitely keep our big man busy and focused, by the end of our walks, we have a happy and tuckered out pup.

Greetings have improved tremendously as well. Melanie suggested all sorts of commands and cues for success. “Place” was a life saver for sure, and we can now have friends over, or simply come in the door with loads of groceries, without having our pup jump all over us, Yay! 

Having such success with our Golden, we’re patiently awaiting for her next beginner class to start so we can put our Norwegian Elkhound/ Daschund Mix through the ringer as well! 

Melanie is for sure one in a million. She’s not only extremely passionate and knowledgeable about her trainings, but she goes the extra mile to answer questions we have outside of class as well. She’s even done house visits for us to address other behaviors and concerns. We’ve recommended Melanie to all of our closest furiends, and will continue to do so!
